Adapted from the SHEA-CDC Training Course in Healthcare Epidemiology, this course covers fundamental aspects of healthcare epidemiology, including: outbreak investigation & management, prevention strategies for HAIs, environmental hygiene, disinfection and sterilization, isolation precautions, and other key topics. Approved by the California Department of Health, and directed for new infection control professionals, individuals with infection control responsibilities and others desiring an introduction to the field.
