

This newly designed conference will encompass educational and collaboration opportunities for those new to the field as well as advanced practitioners of healthcare epidemiology by offering:
- Basic Training in healthcare epidemiology and infection prevention
- Advanced Training in epidemiologic research and surveillance
- Collaboration with participants of the SHEA Research Network
- Interactive training sessions on topics including root cause analysis, outbreak investigation, manipulation of databases and presenting data for publication and media
- Networking events and dedicated time for mentorship from experts
- Q & A sessions for solving problems in infection prevention, surveillance, study design, and data analysis
- Antimicrobial Stewardship in the healthcare setting with stakeholders from multiple societies addressing research, methods and implementation.
Target Audience
Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, public health officials, hospital administrators and others with an interest in healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention, surveillance, research methods, patient safety and quality improvement.
