"The SHEA Fellows Course is extremely useful to ID post-doctoral fellows in-training whether they ultimately specialize in healthcare epidemiology or other infectious disease areas.  ID physicians are regularly called upon to answer infection prevention and healthcare epidemiology questions and serve as role models for other providers by incorporating evidence-based infection prevention practices into their work.  Once I decided to focus on healthcare epidemiology, I took the course a second time and gained an even deeper insight and understanding from the presentations."

– Lisa Maragakis, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Former Fellows Course Attendee
