SHEA seeks to consistently inform its members, the medical community, policy leaders, and the general public about infection control and hospital/healthcare-setting epidemiology by offering high-quality publications, as well as by scanning the community for breaking news that may affect the morbidity, mortality, and cost-of-care linked to healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
