Jennifer Bright, MPA has resigned her position as Executive Director of SHEA and Melanie Young has been appointed Interim Executive Director.
Under Jenn’s direction, SHEA has experienced unprecedented levels of success including the following significant accomplishments:
- A very successful SHEA Spring 2012 Conference: Advancing Healthcare Epidemiology and Antimicrobial Stewardship
- The inaugural IDWeek 2012
- Establishment of the SHEA Education and Research Foundation
- Establishment of the SHEA Research Network
- Antimicrobial Stewardship in Practice - Online Course
- HAI Regional Training Course
- ACCME Reaccreditation March 2010
- International Ambassador Program
- SHEA Young Investigator Epi-Project
- Medscape partnership
- Increase in membership each of last five years
There will be a search for a permanent Executive Director and we will keep you apprised of developments. We hope to have your support in making this transition as seamless as possible as we maintain SHEA’s positive momentum.
