Abstract:

TDAP VaccinationThe Joint Commission's Division of Healthcare Quality Evaluation is releasing "Tdap Vaccination Strategies for Adolescents and Adults, Including Health Care Personnel: Strategies from Research and Practice" to help health care organizations of all types (hospitals, long term care facilities, ambulatory settings, home health organizations, etc.) improve Tdap vaccination rates. The monograph incorporates evidence-based guidelines and published literature to highlight practical strategies.  Additionally, the monograph includes examples of vaccination initiatives that organizations have used to establish or enhance Tdap vaccination programs.

This monograph was authored by The Joint Commission in partnership with infection prevention and infectious disease leaders from the following organizations:

  • The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc.
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases
  • The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America
