Jeffrey S. Gerber, MD, PhD, is an attending physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and a senior scholar within the Penn Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

He serves as the Medical Director, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Associate Director, Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness at CHOP.

Dr. Gerber’s research focuses on observational studies to determine the epidemiology and outcomes associated with antimicrobial use in children as well as interventions designed to improve antimicrobial use based on established guidelines.

Dr. Gerber received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. He completed both his residency and fellowship in Pediatrics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Gerber is an active volunteer with SHEA, actively serving in the role of Planning Co-Chair for the past two years and again this year for the 2018 SHEA Antimicrobial Stewardship Research Workshop scheduled for November 2018.
