SHEA Members from HICPAC Sign Opinion Piece Warning of Dangers of Change to COVID-19 Reporting
Commentary posted in New York Times warns that rules are creating problems for hospitals

ARLINGTON, Virginia (August 13, 2020) — SHEA members signed an opinion piece quoted and posted in The New York Times, raising serious concerns about new procedures for reporting COVID-19 patient data to the federal government. 

The letter was signed by 34 past and current members of the Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC), a federal advisory committee that provides guidance to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
