COVID-19 Update
Many SHEA members have expressed to us that the COVID-19 pandemic is the most difficult challenge of their careers. You are faced with making decisions you never thought you'd have to make with insufficient data. SHEA is committed to supporting you. Send questions, share your concerns, and describe your challenges.

Personal and staff resiliency are big concerns. We want to help. To start, if you would like to share the ways that help you with self-care and managing demands, we've opened a thread on MySHEA.

SHEA is focused on keeping you informed and utilizing its channels to help with challenges you're facing. The ongoing PPE shortage is chief among members' concerns. SHEA is conveying feedback from members to relevant federal agencies. Our PPE shortage advocacy campaign is being amplified through several coalition group efforts.

We are hosting another Town Hall this weekend to respond to the many collective questions that each of you have. During a recent SHEA Board of Trustees call, leaders raised that ventilators being shipped to states in preparation for surge capacity need to be checked that they are in working order before they are needed. Our panelists will discuss their experiences and the steps they've taken to make sure they are ready to go.

We can't tell you enough how much we appreciate, value, and admire the work you are doing. Please post questions and comments in MySHEA or send them to me at
kweinshel@shea-online.org. Chances are you aren't the only one with that question, and we'll work to get it addressed.

Sincerely,

Kristy M. Weinshel, MBA, CAE
Executive Director

Responses are anonymous for a 4-question survey. The first 2 questions are demographic, and the second two are about current status and primary concerns.

To start, we are asking members to complete the questions for this week and the previous one.
